OUR TEABAG
Plant-based PLA teabag:
No plastic and 100% compostable

CHAWAWA’s teabags are made of polylactic acid (PLA) material, a bioplastic derived from organic and renewable sources such as corn or sugarcane. According to a research in 2021, PLA production uses 65% less energy than producing conventional plastics and generates 68% fewer greenhouse gases and contains no toxins. PLA is odorless and 100% compostable.

WHOLE LEAF ONLY
Extra-large teabag:
Whole leaf only,
2nd steep possible and full of flavours

CHAWAWA’s teabags are extra-large for the perfect taste and optimal brewing. There is sufficient space for whole leaves to unfurl and release their intricate aromas and flavours. They contain 3-4 grams to ensure a second steep. CHAWAWA says NO to crushed tea, its excessive surface area let substances out too quickly resulting in high astringency and bitterness.
